Comic-Con 2010 Sunday: Panel and Event Picks...and it's Kids Day!

The fourth and final day of Comic-Con International in San Diego, Sunday July 25, is Kids Day, with 27 programs geared towards the younger ones. You'll also find a one-two Warner Bros. television one-two punch with panels on Smallville and Supernatural, and a convention wrap-up that's become a tradition. So here are some highlights, picks and just some of the great kid stuff going on.

10:00-11:00 Emily The Strange— Get your last day of Comic-Con off to a strange start with Dark Horse's Emily the Strange panel! Meet Emily's creator Rob Reger and Dark Horse editor Shawna Gore, and come prepared to quench your curiosity about all things Emily. Exciting announcements, wacky wordplay, and tasty news bits are all on the menu for this early bird panel! Room 3 

10:00-11:00 Jack Kirby Tribute— Once again Comic-Con remembers Jack "King" Kirby, the prolific writer/artist who co-created some of the world's most famous superheroes, including Fantastic Four, the Hulk, Thor, Captain America, the New Gods, The Demon, Kamandi, and many more. Kirby biographer and friend Mark Evanier (Kirby: King of Comics) hosts, joined this year by writers Marv Wolfman (Tomb of Dracula, New Teen Titans), and Kurt Busiek (Astro City, JLA/Avengers) and other Kirby fanatics to discuss the King. 10:00-11:00 Spotlight on Rick Riordan— Comic-Con special guest Riordan talks about his great for kids-and-parents book series Percy Jackson & the Olympians as well as his recently released The Kane Chronicles series and the upcoming all-new  Heroes of Olympus series. Room 6A 

10:00-11:00 Nickelodeon Presents: SpongeBob, Fairly OddParents, Fanboy, and The Troop— Screenings of new episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents, Fanboy and Chum Chum, and Nick's hit live-action series, The Troop. Room 6DE 

10:00-11:00 Super Hero Squad Online: How We Built the First All-Ages Marvel MMO— Gazillion's The Amazing Society offers a sneak peek at SHSO, including new areas unveiled at Comic-Con. Moderator Serena Robar (community manager, TAS), Jason Robar (VP and studio manager, TAS), Jay Minn (creative director, TAS), Nik Davidson (senior game designer, TAS), Franz Felsl (senior game designer, TAS) and Matt Bell (art director, TAS) present a fun and interactive Q&A! 10:00-5:00 Children's Film Festival— The 7th annual San Diego International Children's Film Festival with more than 60 short films from around the world -- animation, live action, and documentary. Filmmakers and animators will appear. Comic-Con's site will post the complete program soon. Room 9 

10:00-11:00 Smallville Screening and Q&A— The 8th season of Smallville featured the Legion of Superheroes while the 9th season featured a two-part tale with the Justice Society of America, all of those episodes written by DC's Geoff Johns. Will the 10th season brings us Darkseid and the hordes of Apokolips along with Clark finally in the blue and red? Ask showrunners Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson, star/executive producer Tom Welling (Clark/Superman to be) and series stars Erica Durance (Lois), Cassidy Freeman (Tess), and Justin Hartley (Green Arrow). 10:00-11:00 Manga Drawing For Kids— Professional manga illustrators teach another year of manga artwork and anime storytelling specially designed for kids and young people of all ages. Room 30CDE 

10:30-11:30 ABC's Castle: Nathan Fillion & Stana Katic—  Nathan Fillion (Firefly) and Stana Katic (Quantum of Solace), creator Andrew Marlowe, and executive producers Rob Bowman and Laurie Zaks will be on a panel, ready to take quetoins, show  exclusive clips and likely talk about the mystery/romance show's upcoming new season. Room 6BCF 

11:00-12:00 DC Kids: Aww Yeah!—  Mike Norton, Art Baltazar, and Franco, the creative team behind Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam and also Tiny Titans join DC co-publisher Dan DiDio for a very family-friendly discussion. Room 4 

11:00-12:00 Entertaining One's Inner Child— Panelists include Jimmy Gownley (Amelia Rules), Sina Grace (Among the Ghosts), Matt Holm (Babymouse), Adam Rex (Fat Vampire), David Steinberg (Daniel Boom), Greg Van Eekhout (Kid Vs. Squid) and moderator Jennifer Holm (Babymouse). We should all celebrate that inner - and outer - child. Room 24ABC 

11:00-12:00 Archaia: The Jim Henson Company— New on upcoming Archaia/Henson comic book and graphic novel ventures from Archaia editor-in-chief Stephen Christy and artist/illustrator Brian Froud, who worked closely with Jim Henson on The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth movies as a concept artist. 11:00-12:00 How to Draw Star Wars for Kids— Lucasfilm's Bonnie Burton (You Can Draw: Star Wars) and artist Katie Cook (The Clone Wars web comic) help kids draw fun Star Wars characters. Lucas Online Senior Editor Bonnie Burton edits the drawing tutorials and craft projects, which can be found at Starwars.com/kids. Room 30CDE 

11:15-12:15 Cartoon Network: Tower Prep with Firebreather Sneak— Executive producer and series creator Paul Dini (Lost, Batman Beyond, Batman comics as well) and executive producer Glen Morgan (Bionic Woman) offer fans an exclusive first look at Cartoon Network's newest live-action mystery series Tower Prep. With series stars Drew Van Acker (The Lake), Elise Gatien (Bionic Woman), Ryan Pinkston (Punk'd), and Dyana Liu (Parenthood).  Also, a look at Firebreather, CN's first world premiere original CGI movie event based on the comic book series with creator and co-executive producer Phil Hester (The Wretch), co-executive producer Andy Kuhn (Freedom Ring), and writer/director Peter Chung (Aeon Flux). 11:15-12:15 Supernatural Screening and Q&A— Cast members - one assumes the show's Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, plus others, along with executive producers Sera Gamble (Eyes) and Ben Edlund (Angel), and creator/executive producer Eric Kripke will present a sneak peek of the show's sixth season, as it moves to a new day, Fridays at 9pm ET/PT on The CW this fall. 11:45-12:45 Comic-Con Debut: International Hit Merlin— Series stars Anthony Head (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Merlin himself, Colin Morgan, join co-creators and executive producers Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy for a behind-the-scenes look at the show airing on the BBC and in 170 countries, including Syfy in the U.S.). 12:30-1:30 Phineas and Ferb— Creators Dan Povenmire (Family Guy) and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh (Rocko's Modern Life) along with the voice of Phineas, Vincent Martella (Everybody Hates Chris), the voice of Jeremy, Mitchel Musso (Hannah Montana), and other surprise cast members will be on hand to answer questions; plus a   a sneak peek of a special Phineas and Ferb Comic-Con episode guest-starring Seth MacFarlane and Kevin Smith. Moderated by Jill Sanford, director, original series for Disney TV Animation. 1:00-2:00 Unnatural History Episode Screening and Q&A— Cartoon Network's first live-action mystery series, Unnatural History, is about a teen whose parents are anthropologists and he finds all sorts of things going on at his Washington D.C.charter high school within the National Museum Complex. In addition to a premiere screening of an episode, series stars Kevin G. Schmidt (Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel), Jordan Gavaris (Degrassi: The Next Generation), Italia Ricci (Greek) and Martin Donovan (Weeds) as well as creator/executive producer Mike Werb (The Mask, Face/Off) will take questions, too. Room 6BCF

**Ultra-Cool** 1:00-2:00 BOOM Kids! Get-a-Sketch Panel— Darkwing Duck creator Tad Stones moderates the first-ever BOOM Kids! "Get-a-Sketch" panel. Darkwing comic artist James Silvani, WALL*E artist Morgan Luthi, Incredibles artist Ramanda Kamarga, and  other BOOM Kids! artists will be drawing sketches handed out to some lucky young attendees! 2:00-3:00 DC Focus: Premiere Teams— A panel on the DCU's top teams on Earth (JLA, JSA, Secret Six, Titans), space (R.E.B.E.L.S.), and a thousand years from now (Legion of Super-Heroes)! 2:00-3:00 Growing Up with Archie Panel— The Archie Comics creative staff share perspectives the long life of the cast of characters from Riverdale. Panelists include Archie Comics president/editor-in-chief Victor Gorelick, Archie Comics VP/managing editor Mike Pellerito, and creators George Gladir (Sabrina), Dan Parent (Betty & Veronica), Batton Lash and Bill Galvan (Archie Freshman Year), Rich Koslowski (Archie), Tania del Rio (Sabrina), Arie Kaplan (Archie & Friends), Craig Boldman (Jughead), and Andrew Pepoy (Katy Keene). 3:00-4:00 Phineas & Ferb Special— The World Premier of Disney XD's Phineas and Ferb "Summer Belongs to You," a one-hour special.
